Hi! I'm Jess.
I am a photographer who specializes in vintage and alternative photographic processes. I prefer this "slow photography" as a practice as it allows me to engage physically with the materiality of the image, and be more present and intentional in each photographs making. I studied photography at the School of Visual Arts, NYC and SFAI.
I was raised on a farm on the plains of NE Colorado and grew up with a love of the natural world and making things with my hands. I now live in Washougal, WA with my partner Brian, our dog Sawyer, and our chickens. When I'm not taking photos, I spend most of my days gardening, knitting & sewing, spending time at the river and exploring the PNW.
