Hi! I'm Jess. (she/her)
I am a photographer who specializes in analog and alternative photographic processes. I prefer this "slow photography" as a practice as it allows me to engage physically with the materiality of the image, and be more present and intentional in each photographs making. I studied photography at the School of Visual Arts, NYC and SFAI.
I was raised on a farm on the plains of NE Colorado and grew up with a love of the natural world and making things with my hands. I live in Portland, Ore. When I'm not taking photos, I spend most of my days gardening, knitting & sewing, spending time outside and exploring the PNW with my husband Brian and our dog Sawyer.
